ADC Announces New Wireless Enterprise Solution
ADC has launched InterReach Office, a wireless enterprise solution that enables a high-quality GSM mobile environment with high voice quality. The solution also serves as the foundation for wireless PBX
services as well as fixed/mobile convergence (FMC).
InterReach Office enables new high-value services and reduces churn among enterprise customers for wireless operators. For enterprises, InterReach Office optimizes business processes with benefits like least-cost call routing
, single-number connectivity, and ubiquitous mobile data services.
Hilton Nicholson, president of the Network Solutions (News - Alert) Business Unit for ADC said mobile phones have become the primary communications device in many enterprises, and these organizations need to provide better mobile coverage with higher capacity to maintain worker productivity.
Nicholson explained that InterReach Office allows carriers or enterprises to quickly and cost-effectively deliver dedicated mobile capacity and high-quality coverage today, with a migration path to IP
PBX (News - Alert) integration and fixed mobile convergence tomorrow.
ADC explains that the first phase release of InterReach Office is a rack-mountable GSM
base station in a compact, server-like enclosure. The solution enables fast and cost-effective deployment of high-capacity wireless coverage for several hundred users in mid-sized buildings. In addition, InterReach Office can be combined with an InterReach Unison or InterReach Fusion distributed antenna system (DAS). The combined solution can efficiently extend the coverage area within larger structures.
InterReach Office backhauls traffic to carrier networks via an IP connection over DSL
or cable networks. This capability allows for faster and simpler setup and configuration than any other product. It also includes other features, such as support for all GSM bands (850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz), local switching within the enterprise, easy DAS integration for extended coverage, voice and data capabilities, and a roadmap toward IP PBX connectivity and enterprise FMC.
Last week ADC announced enhancements to its rack-mount TrueNet Fiber Panel (TFP) series. The new TFP series is an integral part of the TrueNet Fiber product portfolio, and offers more efficient deployment, user-friendly design and superior functionality.
